Combined or separated areas

You can create your report in two different ways. For example, in the UK if you were interested in the areas LE3, LE6, LE9 and LE12 you can report on these areas separately or combined together.

Combined

This joins adjacent areas together in one report. The areas will be treated as one large area. Click on the image below to view an example.

This option is automatically selected and cannot be deselected if you select 7 or more standard geography areas, or select 101 or more saved geography areas.

Separated

In this example 4 reports will be generated, treating each area as unique. Click on the image below to view an example.

You can select this option if you select more than one and less than 7 standard geography areas. or more than one and less than 101 saved geography areas. A suffix is added to the name that you have given to the report or dashboard to create the name of each separate report or dashboard. The suffix represents the name of the area, for example "Leicester - LE12" for a dashboard you have named "Leicester" and a suffix of " - LE12" for the LE12 postal area.
